WEST SIDE MAIN STREET NAMES
PROGRAM DIRECTOR

JENNIFER JORDAN
Heading up this grassroots, community development initiative is Program Director, Jennifer Jordan. Ms. Jordan brings energy, passion, and commitment to the West Side Main Street program!

Jennifer comes to the West Side Main Street Program as the previous Executive Director of the Kanawha Valley Collective. Prior to joining the Kanawha Valley Collective, Jennifer worked as Senior Program Manager for Terrell Ellis & Associates, a Charleston-based consulting firm. Jennifer also boasts extensive experience in both governmental and public relations.

Jennifer graduated from West Virginia University in 2001 with her masters of Arts degree in Public Policy Analysis, from the Political Science Department. In 1998 she

her Bachelor of Arts in History and Government from West Virginia University Institute of Technology. Jennifer also hails as a 2005 graduate of "Leadership WV", A project of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce.

One of the first and most pressing, tasks to be completed by Program Director Jennifer Jordan, and her hard-working Board of Directors, is to meet with a number of West Side Business Leaders. "Building relationships within the community - and gaining the community's trust - will be my primary focus for the first year or so of my leading the West Side main Street Program," says Jennifer.

And with that West Side Main Street eagerly joins Charleston's West Side Business community as an ally, trusted partner, and respect-filled colleague. Be on the look-out for good things to happen, on both the Main Street Program District on Washington Street West and on Charleston's West Side in general.

WEST SIDE MAIN STREET  is very excited to announce that we have established a new home for itself on the West Side of Charleston. The West Side Main Street Program is a grassroots community development initiative - modeled after 'Main Street' programs across West Virginia and the United States - which empowers local leaders to better manage and strengthen the business climate of their communities, while preserving the rich history and sense of community that make neighborhood's unique.

The newly-established West Side Main Street headquarters are located at 319 West Washington Street, Charleston.
